Introduction

These guides cover echolocation - assistive hardware from AAC Tools that sits between a standard keyboard and a computer, tablet, or phone.

Every key you press is spoken aloud. A key is only sent to the connected device when you hold it. That lets you explore the keyboard by tapping, and commit a keystroke only when you are sure.

echolocation is for visually impaired people who want auditory confirmation with a real physical keyboard.
